The last working water-powered forge in England.
What you see on your guided tour:
- The gallery – which has information about the history of the foundry and the Finch family.
- The launder – which collects the water needed to power the waterwheels.
- The forge – where the massive hammers, giant shears and a huge sharpening stone are housed.
- The carpenter’s workshop – with examples of some of the tools made at Finch over the years.
The garden is open to explore, with picnic benches and space for blankets. The toilets are open all day.
