Bluebell Sunday at Okehampton Castle

Okehampton Castle has become renowned for the bluebells which bloom in its grounds in late spring, with its woodland walk said to be the most impressive spot to see the flowers. Bluebell Sunday has been a fixture of its year since 1917, when local benefactor Sydney Simmons gifted the castle to the Okehampton Castle Trust .The castle is now cared for by English Heritage
